I can just barely remember the storm drain going in below Beverly Glen Blvd. Before the drain went in the street would serve as the drain. I imagined taking a small boat to school.
My brothers and I played on the tractors left parked over the weekend. We accidentally made one of the buckets move and we were pretty excited about that.
There are canyons here in Northern Colorado that still don’t have storm drains so they flood every once in a while. We have the Poudre river a couple of miles north of us and the Big Thomson south of us. Both flooded this year. I worked on making sandbags for the Thomson flood.
Take care, David
