Don’t forget to join friends at neighbors at the Les and Dorothy River Community Center this weekend for the annual Residents of Beverly Glen holiday party. Please bring food to share and your holiday spirit. We expect an appearance by Councilmember Koretz and have plenty of activities for the kids. Bundle up, though! It may be a bit cold and windy and we expect an overflow crowd out in the play area.

It’s that time of year again – time to celebrate the holidays! Please join us on December 4th from 5-7PM at the Les and Dorothy River Community Center at 10409 Scenario Lane. Come mingle with friends and neighbors and sample delicious holiday fare. There will be holiday movies for the kids and other crafty activities. Stay tuned for entertainment announcements and more details.

One beloved element of our wonderful Holiday Party is the great food Glenites contribute. Please let social@beverlyglen.org know what you can bring. Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, mind Hot Dishes (!), Finger Foods, and some deserts are needed. Contributing food is a Glen tradition – come and enjoy! Festive items for the holidays and the chilly time of year. So break out the cookbooks and the family traditions!

Please join Councilmember Koretz again as the Los Angeles Department of City Planning (LADCP) welcomes its new General Manager, Vince Bertoni. The event will be in Encino and it’s a great time for you to meet him to discuss his department’s initiatives. This is open to the public.

Parking is available on the parking lot next to the community center which is within walking distance. Index cards will be available before the meeting starts to fill out for questions.

Residents of Beverly Glen Annual Meeting – this Sunday, 3pm

The Residents of Beverly Glen (ROBG) Annual Members Meeting is this Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 3pm at the Les and Dorothy River Community Center located at 10409 Scenario Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90077.

Come meet some of our local Police and Fire Representatives. Hear from your Council Member Paul Koretz. Find out what is new in your community. This is also the time we elect the ROBG Board of Directors. The proposed slate can be found at the end of this post.

The Residents of Beverly Glen Board is hopeful that many of you will be inspired to contribute some time and energy to our community. Take a moment and consider volunteering for a committee or the Board. It is fun – and meaningful.

And, if you haven’t renewed your Residents of Beverly Glen Membership the Annual Meeting is a perfect time to do so.
