Nestled in a rustic canyon with a winding road on the eastern edge of Bel Air, Beverly Glen is a close-knit community of 600 residents. Although it sits squarely in the middle of Los Angeles -- one of the nation’s busiest urban centers -- here you feel as though you’re away from it all. As a cool breeze stirs the air and sycamores whisper back, you may see a doe and fawn high on a woodsy hillside. On a starry night you can feel the stillness usually experienced in a dense forest. You may wave to a neighbor, someone you’ve known for years on a first-name basis. A resident’s association, a community center, annual social activities, charming homes and gardens, convenient markets and stores and friendly neighbors -- Beverly Glen may be the ideal community.

A big thanks to all of you who came out last night to our annual Residents of Beverly Glen holiday party! A little rain and cool weather didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits – we had a good turnout of friends old and some new, including many neighborhood children. A special thanks goes out to our neighborhood businesses for their generous contributions – to Beverly Glen Realty for yet another great wine tasting; to Beverly Glen Market for beverages; and to Fabrocini’s and Beverly Glen Deli for the delicious food donations. Our appreciation also goes out to all of you who contributed food and drink, and also to Jadon Gershon for compiling and playing a lively holiday soundtrack. The evening was a great success, and we hope to see more of you next year!

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. is the monthly Residents of Beverly Glen Board of Directors meeting. If you would like to come out and participate all are welcome. The work of the Board is meaningful and volunteers are welcome. We meet at the LDRCC at 10409 Scenario Lane. Tonight’s agenda can be accessed here: ROBG Agenda 12-14-15

Dear Glenites!

Just a friendly reminder that our annual holiday party is coming up in just over one week! Please join us and get into the holiday spirit with friends and neighbors on Sunday December 13, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at the Les and Dorothy River Community Center at 10409 Scenario Lane.

Food donations, as always, are welcome for items that are festive for the holidays and the chilly time of year. So break out the cookbooks and the family traditions! Please contact glenite@beverlyglen.org if you can contribute.

Once again, our friends at Beverly Glen Realty will be hosting a wine tasting. And there will be a holiday movie for the kids, along with cookie decorating, so bring the whole family.

We hope to see you there!

One beloved element of our wonderful Holiday Party is the great food Glenites contribute. Please let the glenite@beverlyglen.org know what you can bring. Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Hot Dishes (!), Finger Foods, and some deserts are needed. Contributing food is a Glen tradition – come and enjoy!
