Dear Garden Walk attendees,

We will gather at the LDRCC located at 10409 Scenario Lane at 1:30pm for a light lunch. Each home has happily agreed to provide additional refreshments as we progress through the canyon on our excursion.

Please be prepared with sun protection; hats or umbrellas and sunscreen. Comfortable safe walking shoes are a must.

Viretta is somewhat of a steep narrow street with several stairs leading up to the home.  Perdido does have steps but handrails are not
in place. Children are welcome but need to be able to walk up steep trails while others may wish to bring walking sticks for assistance.

A special bonus this year is that Heidi Santschi of HEIDI SANTSCHI Garden Design, Inc. and a local glen resident has agreed to join us as our horticultural leader. This is a great addition to what we hope will be a horticulturally enlightening day!

The schedule is as follows:

2pm: Walk

Chis and Marydee Donnan’s property at 10453 Scenario Lane will wow us with a World War II bomb shelter that has been
converted into a wine cellar. The property also features bird baths and fountains in a lovely amphitheater hillside setting.

2:20: Walk

Todd Clark and Jama Laurent’s property at 2225 Beverly Glen Place also known as the Conservancy Garden is blossoming.

2:40: Drive

Jan Riggs property at 10319 Viretta Lane boasts a traditional Glen property while offering beautiful roses in a quaint setting.

3pm: Drive

David May’s property at 2519 Perdido Lane is 5 acres of orchards, cactus, and lush grounds. David has been a part of the Glen Garden Walk for several years and will provide us with information on the history and development of his labor of love.  There will be an opportunity at the end of the presentation to take a 30 minute round trip hike up to the ridge that overlooks Stone Canyon Reservoir.

David has kindly requested that cars are parked on Beverly Glen Blvd or Lower Perdido Lane

Please call Sharalee 310-967-9025 or email social@beverlyglen.org  if you have any questions or suggestions.
