Note there is a hearing scheduled to hear a 1.2M SF project to be built at 1950 Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Originally RoBG had no major issue as it was a for sale residential project, now it contemplates that 700,000 SF be office and you know that means more Glen traffic.
Sorry for late notice (we are volunteers after all) but if you can email the City or call if you have similar concerns, helps drive our concern home.

At the October 9, 2013 LAPD West Bureau Traffic Committee Meeting, Rudy Guevara, the District Engineer for the Western District of LADOT introduced a new LADOT website and MYLADOT APP which allows you to submit work requests directly online. The website is located at www.ladot.lacity.org. The app is accessible at myladot.lacity.org/sr. and work requests may be submitted by clicking the “I want to . . .” button.
Please note that LADOT is short staffed and they have over 1,000 requests in their office now. Acceptable work requests are for such things as red curb, striping, signal timing, all-way stop signs, new crosswalks, and the like. Please limit your requests to specific items. LADOT is not accepting complaints/work requests for items such as the following: complaints that there is too much congestion or cut through traffic in my neighborhood or requests to complete a study for traffic mitigation measures in a mile stretch of roadway. LADOT is not currently staffed to conduct lengthy studies and/or provide neighborhood mitigation measures.

Thank you to all residents who submitted repair requests for the NC Blitz push by Mayor Garcetti, we received great news for the Glen from the City:
We will be in your neighborhood making repairs at the following locations on Wednesday 9/18/13:
Chrysanthemum Ln east of Beverly Glen Bl
The material will suffice to make significant repairs at the following location. Any material left will be used at:
Tupelo Ln
Below are the findings form my inspections:
Benedict Canyon 150-200′ north of Wallingford gates: repair completed
Claray Dr south of Nicada Dr: tree roots uplifting street beyond the scope of work offered through this project. Location to be forwarded to District Office for future work
Basil Ln at Oletha Ln: some low areas, to be forwarded to District Office for future repairs
Sunset Bl between Beverly Glen Bl and 405 FWY: various locations cracked and eroded to be forwarded to District Office for future repairs
Unfortunately not all repairs can be made but we were able to get the Glen the majority of the work from the repairs. If you have questions, feel free to email babcnc@beverlyglen.org.
Please note with trash trucks on Wednesday, traffic could be a little more usual so make note.

LADWP reminds city residents and businesses that construction will start this Saturday on the replacement of a portion of the City Trunk Line, a 60-inch diameter pipeline that runs along Coldwater Canyon Avenue between Mulholland Drive and Ventura Boulevard, necessitating closure of the major thoroughfare from March 23-April 25.
The closure is necessary to allow the full use of the street for construction equipment and crews. LADWP is replacing the 99-year old pipe in sections with new welded steel pipe as part of an ongoing citywide upgrade to major pipelines in order to ensure reliable service and to comply with federal water quality regulations.
The closure will begin Saturday, March 23, and continue through Thursday, April 25. The hours of closure are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. After 7 p.m. each night, 6 p.m. on Saturdays, and all day Sunday, one lane will be open for traffic in each direction.
Beverly Glen residents should anticipate additional traffic during the time of the closure of Coldwater Canyon. For those residents newly commuting through Beverly Glen, please remember that we are a residential community, in addition to a commuting thoroughfare.
