The current board members of the Residents of Beverly Glen are hopeful that many of our residents will be inspired to contribute some time and energy to our community. Take a moment and consider volunteering for a committee or the Board. It is fun – and meaningful.

Your in luck, as part of Mayor Garcetti’s program to get our streets repaired, each Neighborhood Council can submit a list of repairs for City to consider during an upcoming mid-September sweep through our area.

A representative of the new tenant of the Four Oaks restaurant space will attend a special, informal meeting prior to our regular Board meeting. A brief presentation on plans for the space will be followed by a Q & A. For those interested in attending, here are the meeting details:

As some of you may have received notice, Charlie’s Pantry at the Glen Centre has applied for a CUP to serve beer and wine between 8:00am and 11:00pm, daily for both on-site and off-site sales.

Traffic Notice – UCLA Graduation

UCLA Commencement Parking & Traffic Impacts
When: Friday, June 14, 2013 11:30am to 9pm
Where: UCLA Main Campus

Impacts: Commencement Weekend is Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16.

During this time, a total of 45 ceremonies will take place throughout the campus. With six of the largest commencement events taking place on Friday, June 14, we expect that traffic on campus will be especially heavy.

Approximately 33,000 guests and 9,000 vehicles are expected to arrive between 11:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the same time during which 10,000 to 12,000 students will be moving out of residence halls in the northwest sector of campus.

Mitigation: UCLA and City of Los Angeles Traffic Officers will be positioned at all key intersections to facilitate traffic flow.
