FROM A RESIDENT:
My name is Meg Vernon, and I live on North Beverly Glen Blvd., near Beverly Glen Place. My husband Taylor found a loose older male black lab in front of our house today, and we don’t know who he belongs to! We pulled him off of the street because it was starting to be rush hour, and we didn’t want him to get hit by any cars. We currently have him in our backyard, but his collar (which is nice orange leather) does not have any contact information. Could we put a posting out to everyone via the website? I’ve attached a picture of him to this email, and we are also in the process of putting up signs around the neighborhood. He’s super sweet, but he looks like he really wants to go home…
EMAIL WEBSITE@BEVERLYGLEN.ORG IF THIS IS YOUR DOG AND WE’LL LET MEG AND TAYLOR KNOW.

DWP will repair the water main leak on Corfu Lane & No. Beverly Glen today between noon and 4:00 pm. WATER WILL BE TURNED OFF ON CORFU & VIRETTA AND ALL OF NO. BEVERLY GLEN BETWEEN THESE 2 STREETS.
No. Beverly Glen will be reduced to ONE Lane (north bound) with managed traffic. CORFU Lane will be closed completely. Corfu Ln residents: Be sure to park your vehicles on No. Beverly Glen if you need to leave your home from noon to 4:00 p.m.
I will post again if I hear of an update.
This is all weather permitting of course.

Please be on the lookout for the woman and car in these photos. She was seen getting out of her car and walking up the 900-1100 block of Beverly Glen Blvd on the morning of Wed, Nov 14th, stopping at mailboxes along the way and emptying the contents into her bag.
This incident has been reported to the Postal Inspector but should you see you her, any other suspicious activity or a crime in progress, please dial 911.
If you have any information regarding this crime or feel that you may have been a victim, please go to www.usps.com/postalinspectors or call (877) 876-2455, press option #3 and enter your zip code to be connected to the Postal Inspector for our area.
Thank you for your help in keeping our neighborhood safe.
Please heed the following six simple wind safety tips:
- Report nearby smoke and flames immediately to 9-1-1.
- Be watchful of toppling trees and wind-blown debris.
- Treat all non-functioning traffic signals as a four way stop.
- Minimize the use of candles, lighters, fire pits, barbecues, and spark producing equipment.
- Secure household items, such as outdoor furniture.
- If you encounter downed wires, assume they are energized & contact 9-1-1
Please note that the sections of the 405 freeway and the Mulholland Bridge will be closed this entire weekend.

DWP will be repairing the damage to Beverly Glen done by the water main break at Corfu Lane on February 17th.
DWP will have a crew on Beverly Glen Blvd to repair 380 feet of damaged roadway starting Monday, June 11 from 9am to 3:30pm and then again on Tuesday, June 12 from 9am -3:30pm to complete the work. Work will be conducted on weekdays because DWP has insufficient funds to employ crews to work overtime hours on the weekend. There will be Traffic Officers at the bottom of Beverly Glen on Sunset Blvd and at the top of Beverly Glen at Mulholland Dive.
There will be a complete closure between Crater Lane and Corfu. Residents who live in the immediate vicinity will be flagged through.
Most of you will recall the scene during and immediately following the water main break in February, and have noticed the significant and continued deterioration of the street in the 3 1/2 months since then.

If you want to show support for you firefighters, come to the pancake breakfast at Station 71 (Sunset & Beverly Glen) to show your support. They don’t get enough funding through the City and these guys work too hard not to have basic things like newer TVs or updated kitchen equipment.
Its always fun, great for kids and adults, they bring out the monster grill and griddle as well as classic fire engines. Come by, show your support, say hi and help give these guys the minimal they deserve for their hard work.
When: Sunday, June 3rd
Time: 8-11am
Where: Fire Station 71 – Sunset & Beverly Glen
