Oh what a night! The Residents of Beverly Glen 2011 Holiday Party was a great success! The DLRCC was packed to the gills with residents old and new alike. Glenites and their Families enjoyed the festivities well beyond the scheduled 2 hour time frame. The success was thanks to the strong sense of community that we all share as Residents in our small 650 home hamlet.
Our local Businesses were extremely generous with donations this year. Joe Rosa from the Beverly Glen Market provided us with a scrumptious turkey. Fabrocini’s spoiled us with a fabulous pasta dish. Beverly Glen Deli donated a very generous deli platter and Tino from Mulholland Grill prepared delicious pasta. The Glen market donated the beverages and Steven Foonberg of Beverly Glen Realty continued the long tradition of supplying ample wine. We, as a community, can show our appreciation by continuing to utilize the services that our local businesses provide.
Jadon Gershon did an awesome job manning the DJ booth and Heidi Miller’s efforts were much appreciated entertaining the children at the very well-attended cookie and cupcake decorating table. I also want to thank our dear Hildreth Simmons who donated many of the holiday decorations. The afternoon set-up and decorating was made so smooth by the assistance and talent of fellow Beverly Glen Realty agent Michelle Vannoy.
A heartfelt Thank you to everyone who came early and stayed late; you made this party a success. Last but not least, a special thanks to Elke for her presence and her kind words of encouragement. It couldn’t have happened without all of us working together. I knew when my husband and I found Beverly Glen four years ago that it was magical and it truly is.
I look forward to planning the next event!

The holidays are here again and that means it’s time for the residents of Beverly Glen annual holiday party on Sunday December 11th at 5pm at the Les and Dorothy River Community Center.
We are looking for festive food donations to enhance the evening. Please call Sharalee Flesche at 310-967-9025 or email social@beverlyglen.org if you are interested in bringing food to the party. Beverly Glen Market has agreed to provide the non-alcoholic beverages and Beverly Glen Realty will continue its tradition of providing the wine. Jadon, Gia, and Allianna Remoldo are confirmed to provide the music again this year. We appreciate everyone who has donated their time and resources to the party.
I look forward to continuing the traditions established by the residents of Beverly Glen and following in the footsteps of my predecessor Elke. It’s your party, so I welcome recommendations and suggestions.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the party,
Then you should attend an upcoming community meeting on November 17, 2011:

An old friend of the Glen, Beverly Glen Playgroup, has agreed to be a new Silver sponsor for 2011 – 2012! Formed in 1946 and serving the Glen and Glen kids since that time, Beverly Glen Playgroup operates out of our Les & Dorothy River Community Center with a high quality preschool education serving Glen kids as young at 2 years old. As a progressive co-operative preschool, Glen families can be actively involved in a rich, creative environment that has lead to decades of alumni, many of whom now send their kids.
For information on Beverly Glen Playgroup, go to www.beverlyglenplaygroup.org.
For those with children over 2 years or older as of September 1, 2012, applications are due December 15th, you can find detailed information at http://www.beverlyglenplaygroup.org/apply/summary-of-application/
Also note that as of last year, Beverly Glen Playgroup has started the Chris and Rhoda Holabird fund for financial aid for Glen families in addition to the Susie Evans fund for all families. More information is available by contacting Playgroup.
Beverly Glen Residents:
There will be a protest at the Hotel Bel-Air on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14th, likely starting at 4 pm, but possibly earlier. Expect traffic on Sunset between Stone Canyon and Beverly Glen to be more difficult than usual during Friday rush hour.
Here’s the link to additional information from the Bel-Air Association.
Additionally, Beverly Glen will be completely closed between Ventura Blvd and Mulholland Blvd on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th from 6 am to 6 pm for resurfacing. Expect additional delays around Mulholland as people will have to be diverted to the east and west.
Thanks for your patience with these issues. We will bring you additional information as soon as we access it.
Hear the latest of what is going on in your community. Meet your elected representative, State Assembly Member Mike Feuer, City Council Member Paul Koretz, many of your friendly neighbors, the Residents Board who manages the Glen affairs, enjoy great wines from Bev. Coming full circle, Residents of Beverly Glen resurrected a program from 12 years ago where resident volunteers logged speeds of those violating our speed limits on Beverly Glen. With a quick training session with LAPD, RoBG was provided a radar gun and the training to log speed violators who then receive warning letters from LAPD. Repeat offenders may get a personal visit from LAPD at their home, as was done in the Palisades Highlands.
Whether its a commuter or resident, no one has the right to drive unsafely in our neighborhood. If your concerned about the unsafe speeds on Beverly Glen, contact traffic@beverlyglen.org to volunteer for our Speedwatch team, all it takes a 1 hour a month to make a big difference to let drivers know they are being watched, Speedwatched!
Here are the results:

Hello Neighbors!
Our community has been redistricted and will soon be represented by Assemblywoman Betsy Butler, after the June, 2012 election. In addition to our current Assemblyman, Mike Feuer, joining us at our Annual Meeting on October 9th, Assemblywoman Butler will come to meet her new constituents!
On a personal note, I have known Betsy for many years and she is wonderful. I am thrilled that we will soon be represented in Sacramento by this smart and passionate woman. You can learn more about her here:
We will also have various special guests from our local police, fire and California Highway Patrol, if you have any law enforcement-related questions.
See you at the Annual Meeting!!
